Landscape category

A bit of re-organising has happened in that I have added a Landscape category. Partially due to the fact that this style of photography has been growing and also due to the fact that I now have a Sigma 10-20 wide angle zoom lens that will see a good amount of use in the genre.

Sigma 10-20 Ex Lens

I have just added a Sigma 10-20mm lens to my kit. So far it's meeting all my expectations. Though my trip up north didn't yield many photographs to do weather restrictions and other factors. I will however post some images taken with this lens, likely in the new Landscape category. Build quality is better than expected, and sharpness seems more than adequate on my current DSLR body.

I will also be shooting of series of panoramas once I calibrate my panoramic head for the wide angle. The will also be posted with some additional information when I have some time.

First in Christmas Cards

Book Card 1
Posted the first in a series of Christmas Card for the Morningside-High Park Presbyterian Church. These will be part of a circulation of Christmas wishes and fund raising material for the 2005 Christmas season. This will also likely result in a projects category on this website when the images are complete. This category will contain images grouped by assignments and other unified project categories. All pictures from this series will posted when complete.

Heron and more

Heron 1
I spent the day off photographing nature and gathered some interesting captures. Some of these are posted in various galleries on the site. Primarily the Nature and Macro gallery. Though due to the increasing size of some of these galleries, the organization of content on the site may soon change.

Portraits for SWC

Film Strip 2sm
I have just completed a series of portraits for an album project I have been working on. Some of these portraits have been posted along with the composite promotional layout for it. More from this series may be posted if they are completed. Since this shoot, I have been asked to bring this visual style to other projects, so you may see even more posted in the future.
